I know I know it has been a few days since my last post BUT I am working on a few things that I can't wait to show you!

So my sweet daughter Mckenzie really dislikes to study her spelling words. Go figure. =-) Every night I have to pull teeth to get this done. And most nights I don't get it done because its just to hard. So... I started to think about this. What could I do to make this a little more fun?

I went down to Home Depot and bought a piece of tile (the one below) that has all the smaller tiles attached to it. I pulled them off (with her help of course) And I got out my awesome cricut machine, plugged it into my computer. Started up my Sure Cuts A Lot program (LOVE IT) and started to cut some vinyl! We now have these cute little squares with cute little letters on them! Mckenzie loved studying her spelling words tonight! And she asked me if we could do it again tomorrow!!! She said "Wow Mom that was so fun!"

I think my work is done. haha ya right!

My DI Treasures...for Valentine's Day

So this first one is a shelf that I got for a buck and I painted it and sanded it a bit. Love the way it turned out! The LOVE wood piece I also got for around one dollar! Also painted it. (My kids have broke this like three times as you can see, but I just keep gluing it back together..love it to much to throw away) And the little heart with the marbles I got for a dollar (marbles included! YAY) Perfect for Valentine's Day decorations!!!

Okay so the heart with the candle was like 75 cents! And I found this beautiful square glass for a dollar!!! I added some pink crunched up paper (not sure what this is called) and there you have it!

Okay the pink vase was like two bucks, the fake plant thing was from the dollar store and the pink hearts was also at the dollar store!

I LOVE the DI I always come out of there with something awesome!

Here is a craft that I made just fooling around in my basement. Its just some 4x4 pieces of wood cut to 3 1/2 inches. I painted the blocks and then Modge podged the letters on the wood that I cut out with my cricut!

So here is one of the crafts that I got to work on on Saturday! YAY! I LOVE Crafting!!!

The Be block is from a 4x6 piece of wood that my hubby cut for me, the mine blocks are just some 4x4 pieces of wood! LOVE THIS!

I know Valentine's is technically over but that doesn't mean that I have to stop decorating does it? LOL

First Post

So this is my first post and I hope I am doing this right LOL. Umm not sure what to say. family is doing great. I guess right now it has been super crazy for us. Every spare minute I get I have to help Brian study for another test. (he is taking an EMT course) I cannot wait until it is over! It is just hard with kids and all that needs to be done around here. I am exhausted! And I have been dying to craft lately!!! I did get to work on a fun craft Saturday when Brian was in class and my cute kids were with my Mom. I will show a picture as soon as I figure out how to add it. Any info on how to run this thing would be awesome! Thanks! =-)
